Lackluster Support After Software Training
Updating original review because soon after I was urged to leave positive reviews on multiple websites after initial billing software training, the customer service and support seemed to decline. Leading up to my purchase of a licensee package, and up to finishing training on the billing software, everyone at Claimtek was friendly and responsive to any questions I had. After software training finished and it was time to begin the marketing training, I began to have issues. The first issue was having to repeatedly ask/remind my contact to send my training certificate. I finished training in November and asked about it soon after. He finally sent it and it arrived the last week of February. I’ve had other questions/concerns that he has continued to ignore or not actually answer. The marketing training that’s been provided is mostly links to other websites/YouTube videos to read and watch. They do provide a phone script and templates for emails, and a very outdated leads list (which I also had to repeatedly ask my contact to provide). When I reached out to my contact for marketing support, his advice was to buy some alcohol and make more phone calls. This is very unprofessional and not helpful. He also provided (after more reminders) the contact info for an outside marketing person to help with my marketing. Part of my investment in Claimtek is an annual, on-going payment for support. The cost of this is quite expensive. Why am I having to pay people outside of the company for support that they claim they provide? Then, there are items in the contract I signed with them that, upon closer inspection, I have realized are actually missing, don’t work (CDs), was not provided any training or information on, or are of very poor quality and aren’t what Claimtek’s website says they offer (such as the complete, comprehensive, and professional business website they are supposed to provide to you). Since my original contact at Claimtek continued to ignore and answer my concerns, I emailed the only other customer support/contact that I had (who helped me purchase the package to begin with) and asked if he could help address all of my concerns or if I needed to contact somebody else. Long story short, this person is also not cooperating and at the time of this review has not answered any of my questions or concerns. All of this runs contrary to what Claimtek says on its website, that they treat their licensees with respect and concern. I advise anyone thinking of purchasing a licensee package through ClaimTek to consider spending your money elsewhere. If you have no prior marketing or sales experience, don’t expect them to help you out with it. You will pretty much be on your own. For the cost of their license packages, you are better off paying a private outfit to train you on medical billing software, having someone build a proper website, and researching all the marketing methods yourself.
