Wife and I rolled over Roth IRA's into gold ($76K)with Discount Gold Brokers (DGB). We chose them because of their advertised low pricing. We should have done more research!
After 6 months I checked the depository and found that the gold was nowhere to be found -- DGK had done nothing! They had been sitting on our $76K and had yet to do anything for close to 7 months! I followed up and got an immediate run around. The following was typical:
1. Receptionist would tell me that my party was in a meeting and would get back to me -- 6 straight times with no return calls.
2. I finally got through and was told to be patient as an only option.
3. I was offered extra "free" silver to make up for the problem by Mike Berman who, later, disavowed having ever made such a promise. Mike Berman especially impressed me as someone who is not to be trusted
After a further 6 weeks we got the gold and silver delivered. If I had not checked the gold would still not be in the depository. If I could give this "business" five negative stars I would do it happily.
The general attitude of everyone I spoke to before the deal was closed was great but all communications after the deal was like I was a leper and they didn't want to have anything to do with me -- my best advice would be to steer as clear as you can away from this shoddy business. Thumbs down all the way.
P.S. I suspect the 5 star ratings are from DGB employees -- no one else would do so -- from my experience with DGB, it seems likely that that is something that it would do...
