As stated by the last review, (Eagle Business Finance is by definition "predatory lenders"). In the last 2-3 months, this has been our experience. We approached Matt Williams of Eagle Business Finance for an equipment loan. He presented himself as a specialist in helping small businesses and non-for profit organizations. Following numerous calls and conversations, an application form was submitted, along with all paperwork including business financials and tax returns, including some information of real estate collateral. MW presented himself as the lender and that he had the money to lend and informed us that we were approved. To close the deal, he said we needed to pay our first and last month's lease payments up front, which we did. Subsequently, the funding promised never materialised. We later found out that he was a broker who was sourcing several finance companies. When it became clear that he was not delivering, we decided to close the transaction and request for the refund of our money (almost $15000) which we had wired to him about 2 months ago. Since wiring the funds to him, he refused to pick up my telephone for about 6 weeks and as now he has not gotten back to resolve the issue. MW is clearly a first class dupe and uses dubious legal arguments for not wanting to return money sent to him. In the first case, as a broker, he had no right to receive money when the loan had not closed. For the past 1 month we have been seeking to get our money back, but to no avail. Eagle Business Finance is a scam and are not to be trusted. MW uses the name of God and purports himself as kind and honest person willing to help. Do not believe what he says as he constantly changes his words from conversation to conversation.
