My experience is quite the same as those I have read. During the 1 year warranty period the laptop was sent back 3 times. The 3rd. time I had to pay for shipping. The power cord failed before the second time. I requested a cord then and didn't get one. The 3rd. time I requested a cord again and still didn't get one. The warranty was over when I got it back the 3rd. time. I called the same day about the cord. I was told to go on line for a level 2 tech. When I put in the serial # it showed out of warranty. Even though I requested it during the warranty period I couldn't get it. The phone and e mail tag went on for over 1 week, until they got their way and I gave up. I will never buy another Gateway product. I expect this one is just disposable after 1 year. The customer service was the worst and it appears they don't care what you think. Thank you
