AWESOME - MOST AWESOME! If you can get in, come to this CU. They really know how to treat people and they are not driven by greed. I've made a couple of errors in the many years (actually, decades) I've been with this CU. They have always worked with me. A couple of times they waived an overdraft fee, but again (make no mistakes for you scammers out there thinking they're a 'soft touch', because they're not) this was about twice in about 20 years. I deal honestly with them and they take care of me. No - I do not have big accounts. My accounts are meager, yet they treat me as though I have millions.
A couple of times I had problems with merchants.
One with a store that accidently charged my debit card twice then gave me the run around when I tried to get my money refunded. I filed all I did to get my money and NFCU, based on our relationship, credit my account the money so I wouldn't be without while they investigated. I eventually won and didn't have to be without my money while the investigation was in progress. NFCU got my money back.
Another time, I ordered a book online. About a week later and checked my account. I found the business had made two additional charges that I did not authorized. I contacted the business and they tried to tell me that I had signed up with some book club membership. This was a bold faced lie and I found out that a lot of people made complaints about the same thing. The business refused to refund my money. I told them I was filing complaints for fraud. NFCU was again awesome. They credit me the money while the investigation was pending. So far the bigger of the 2 unauthorized charges were refunded and NFCU got some of it's money back. No doubt NFCU will get the rest from the merchant as well. They also issued a new debit card to prevent any further charges from this business.
This how banking use to be. NFCU has not forgotten how people should be treated. They are AWESOME!
