Dishonesty in Billing
|
My insurance allows me one free physical exam per year, so I made an appointment with the Salem Clinic for that exam. The doctor seemed bored and uninterested during the 1/30/15 "exam", which consisted of him very briefly placing his stethoscope against the front of my jacket. A month later I received a bill for $160, so I contacted my insurance company. They said the clinic miscoded my exam as an "office visit" and I am now obligated to pay for my "free" physical. I have contacted the Salem Clinic several times, yet they refuse to correct their error. In my opinion, this amounts to nothing more than organized fraud. Please save yourself the trouble of becoming associated with the Salem Clinic.
