This company mysteriously came up with my facebook password. They claimed someone else must have done it... Sure someone else came up with my facebook information to promote your business?? Whatever. Anyway, in this case they sent messages to my numerous facebook friends, claiming to be me, including a link to their website, at which they offer a reward (iPad in this case) to those who participate in their promotion. Participation includes purchasing from various companies whom they claim not to be associated with. My research was relatively extensive and I was unable to come up with a single example of anyone actually having received the reward. I tend to frown upon scams and businesses based upon scams which this one is. I've reported them to Internet Crime, Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs, the F.B.I., the Campbell, CA Police Dept. and to Apple. All of these expressed concern, Apple being particularly unhappy.
